K is very adventurous, so he tends to have the most falls and "boo boos" of all my boys. He also has a love of band-aids (what kid doesn't?) so I thought this craft would be perfect for him.
First I printed out a letter B (from Google Images) and told K that the letter B had fallen down at the park and gotten some boo-boos. But I told him we were going to fix him up with some band-aids! I exaggerated the "b" sound when I said these words, since I'm starting to work on K making a connection between letters and their sounds. I drew some dots with a pink marker and told K those were the "boo boos" he needed to fix.
He got to work fixing up the letter B with Transformer, Toy Story, and Elmo band-aids. He took the band-aids out of their wrappers and peeled off the sticky part all by himself, too, which was great work for his little fingers.
The letter B feels so much better now! :) I think this was K's favorite letter craft EVER (he wanted to do it again when we were done) and it was probably the easiest to prepare!
