Musical Hearts

I found this awesome idea for a Musical Hearts game at No Time For Flash Cards.  I traced some heart shapes, wrote various actions on them, laminated them, and cut them out.  The actions were things like do the robot, jump on one foot, do a silly dance, act like an animal, crab walk, sing the ABCs, etc.  The boys walked, danced, or ran (most of the time they ran) around the circle while we played some music (Laurie Berkner was our music of choice, we love her!).  When the music stopped, they would stand on the nearest heart, read what it said (or Mommy would read it, in K's case), and do the action.  They loved it and it is a great way to get some energy out!
A doing the crab walk.  He loved it so much that he got ready for school super fast this morning so he could play it again for 10 minutes before he had to leave for school.
K doing the robot with a very serious face. :)  I wish I had gotten him on video when he stopped on "Do a silly dance" because it was hilarious!
