Fall Sensory Box

Today I introduced a Fall Sensory Box to the boys.  It consists of white beans, kidney beans, fake fall leaves and mini pumpkins and gourds (from the Dollar Tree), a couple of measuring spoons and cups, scoopers from old formula cans, and some fall themed cookie cutters.
All three of them dug right in!
K and A had fun pretending the beans were "magic beans."  This is K excitedly showing me his magic bean.
J enjoyed exploring everything.  He did try to put beans in his mouth a couple of times, but overall did much better than I had expected.  My oldest lost interest pretty quickly, though - not sure if it was just his mood or if he is getting too old for sensory boxes.  The younger two sure enjoyed it, though!  I will hopefully be changing out our sensory box contents each month.  I seen sensory tub ideas at 1+1+1=1Hubbard's Cupboard, Counting Coconuts, and Our Worldwide Classroom.
