My mother-in-law has a tradition of making a little personalized book for each grandchild for their first birthday. Each page has a photo of the baby doing something different like playing, eating, or crawling. Some of the pages have pictures of the baby with Mommy, Daddy, or grandparents. At the bottom of the page is a line of simple text. She laminates the pages (so they are baby proof!) and the pages are held together with binder rings. I think this is such a cute idea. I have looked forward to this gift when each of my boys has turned one, and even my older boys (now almost 3 and almost 6) still like to read and look at their books. This is a great gift idea, or a fun project to make for your own little one!
